Cain and Barnes LP has a wealth of experience in generating maps and applying Quality Control to the data used to create maps.  The mapping services offered will enable data to be submitted via the secure ftp server.  The data will be analysed and cleaned prior to being integrated into the mapping software (proprietary mapping software in addition to ArcGIS).

Maps can be referenced to any datum and projection required and can be delivered electronically (as .shp files, .dxf files, .pdf, .jpg, .geotiff) and as paper versions.  This service is aimed to complement existing mapping facilities available within your organisation with respect to ensuring compliance and data integrity.

The software recognises many different data formats and decoders can be specifically written where problematic or legacy data is encountered.   The company can offer special assistance where data needs to be correctly geo-referenced off old maps, particularly where CRS parameters are absent.  This approach has been successfully used with respect to aviation charts for many years.
